Pool Practice Sessions

Pool Practice Session.
Join us in the warm waters of a local pool to practice the paddling skills you have been working on this season.
This Pool Practice Time does not include any instruction and is not supervised by our guides. If you are looking for instruction please sign up for one of our Rolling Clinics.
Eskimo Rolling Classes
To get started with your roll, we offer rolling classes, including pool rolling classes during the cooler months!
The practice time includes the use of a whitewater boat, or (if space in the pool is available) you can bring your own boat. When you register, please include in the note field whether or not you would like to bring your own boat. If you do bring your own boat it must be thoroughly cleaned or it will not be allowed in the pool. Please call (781) 891-6575 for details.
  
Wetsuit rentals are included at no additional charge. Please specify the size you would like us to bring for you.
Participants should plan to arrive 15 minutes before the practice time is scheduled to begin, because participants arriving late may not be allowed into the pool building.
Pool Practice Session meets for one 3-hour session at Regis College Pool in Weston.
$30 includes three hours of pool time using your own whitewater boat (this session does not include instruction).
$45 with a whitewater kayak.
Wet Exit Practice Required
Students who have not performed a wet exit may sign up for our Pool Practice Time but must complete the Introduction to Kayaking course, an Introductory Trip, or a private lesson before participating in our Pool Practice Time (our Quick-Start Your Kayak is not sufficient). If you have questions, please contact us.
Registration & Cancellation Policies for Classes & Trips
  • Full payment is due upon registration for a class, clinic, or trip.
  • For cancellations received 7 days or more before your scheduled activity, we will issue a refund less a 10% registration fee.
  • For cancellations received fewer than 7 days before your scheduled activity, we are unable to offer any refunds.
  • Classes, clinics, and trips always run unless the weather is extreme.
  • A minimum number of registrants is required for any event to run. If we cancel an event due to low enrollment, we will provide a full refund.
  • Each participant will be required to sign a waiver of liability. To save time, you can download this waiver and bring it with you.
    • Pre-Requisites & Requirements. Before signing up, you must have:
  • Previous practice of a wet exit, where you flipped a kayak, removed the sprayskirt, and exited the kayak while underwater.
