Beginner Classical Series
Our series of two introductory lessons is the most effective way to learn cross-country skiing. Each week, as new skills are added, feedback from your instructor strengthens what you have learned. Through this series of lessons, combined with the benefit of unlimited practice time for three full weeks, you will emerge a more confident and capable skier. If you want a smooth graceful stride, efficient arm and leg action, proper pole use, and the ability to handle hills in control, this series is for you.
The
class schedule lists the starting time for the first class. This course meets for two sessions at the same time and day of the week (for example, two consecutive Mondays at 6:30pm).
$99 includes instruction and complementary trail pass valid anytime for three weeks.
$143.10 includes instruction, three-week trail pass, and three weeks of rentals.
Intermediate/Advanced Classical Skiing: The Ultimate Stride
Of all skiing styles, fluid classical skiing develops (and rewards) the highest levels of ski finesse, coordination, and balance. We'll refine diagonal stride with advanced drills, develop double pole with a kick, and discuss race strategies for those preparing for ski marathons. We'll also demonstrate recent advances in ski and wax technology that can make classical skiing simpler, faster, and more fun. Let us help you move from shuffling to flying over the snow.
The class meets for one 2-hour session and offers two instructors per class for small group size and individual feedback. Students should have completed the Beginner's Classical Series or have at least 2 years of ski experience.
$30 includes two hours of instruction; trail pass and rentals are additional.
Intermediate/Advanced Classical Skiing: The Ultimate Stride Part II
This clinic will feature video analysis for the intermediate and advanced skier. We will further refine the three primary classic ski techniques, and, based on the video-taping, each skier will received a customized plan for further progress (including key focus points and take-home drills).
Another theme of the clinic will be the key similarities and differences between classic and skate techniques. We'll demonstrate how improvements in your classical stride can carry over into better skate technique or can serve as a foundation to learn to skate.
The class meets for one 2.5-hour session and offers small group size for individual feedback. Students should have completed the Beginner's Classical Series (and Ultimate Stride I is recommended) or have at least 2 years of ski experience.
$45 includes 2.5 hours of instruction; trail pass and rentals are additional.
Introductory Skate-Skiing Lesson
Skate-skiing is the fastest, most efficient way of traveling on snow. If you like in-line or ice skating, cycling, or running, you will want to try skating on skis. The 75-minute lesson teaches you the basics of weight transfer, edging, and timing. Recommended for those with some skiing experience.
Classes are usually offered on weekends and holidays at 11:30am.
$29 includes lesson and trail pass.
$45.80 includes lesson, trail pass, and rental.

Students should feel comfortable using both the V1 and V2 styles and have spent significant time skate-skiing. Beginners and those who have never had formal skate-skiing instruction should consider our Introductory Skate-Skiing Series described above or a private lesson described below.
