Barbeque Kayak Tours from
Allston/Brighton & Kendall Square
Start your weekend off right! Enjoy an evening paddling some of the most scenic sections of urban river in the country, followed by some of the best food the area has to offer.
We will start off with an introduction to kayaking, briefly teach the basic strokes, and then launch our double kayaks for a guided paddle on the Charles River. While exploring, your guide will discuss the river's place in Boston and Cambridge history. Upon return
to the dock, we will sit down for a barbecue picnic catered by Redbones of Somerville. The tour is offered from two locations: our Cambridge location in Kendall Square, and our Boston location on Soldier's Field Road in Allston/Brighton. From our Kendall Square location you'll enjoy the best skyline view in Boston and explore the lagoons of the Esplanade, while learning about the exciting role that the Charles River has played in Boston's history. From our Allston/Brighton location you'll experience a less-urban setting, with parkland and Harvard University along the banks.

While not a regularly scheduled event, we are happy to combine the Barbeque Tour with a One-Way Rental from Kendall Square to Allston/Brighton for groups of ten or more. The price for the tour is $90 per person, and we can arrange a return shuttle for $75 per trip (14 passengers/trip). Reservations are required.
2.5-Hour Barbeque Tour in Kendall Square meets at our T-accessible Cambridge location in Kendall Square. Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance so we can order food.
$75 includes guiding, kayak rental, food, and beverages.
Registration & Cancellation Policies for Tours
Full payment is due upon registration for a tour.
For cancellations received 7 days or more before your scheduled activity, we will issue a refund less a 10% registration fee.
For cancellations received fewer than 7 days before your scheduled activity, we are unable to offer any refunds.
Tours may be cancelled due to inclement weather at our option, with a full refund given. No refunds will be offered if we decide to hold the tour.
A minimum number of registrants is required for any event to run. If we cancel a tour due to low enrollment, we will provide a full refund.Each participant will be required to sign a waiver of liability. To save time, you can download this waiver and bring it with you.
