Cross-Country (Classic) Skiing Instructor
Responsibilities: Teach group and private ski lessons for up to 8 students.
Requirements: Significant cross-country skiing experience is required. Instructors should be able to demonstrate and teach efficient diagonal stride and techniques to travel up and down hills in control. Some teaching experience (not necessarily teaching skiing) is required. Starting Pay: $15-21/hour.
Cross-Country Skate-Skiing Instructor
Responsibilities: Teach group and private ski lessons for up to 6 students.
Requirements: Significant skate-skiing experience is required. Instructors should be able to demonstrate and teach efficient V1 and V2 styles. Some teaching experience (not necessarily teaching skiing) is required. Full and part time positions available. Starting Pay: $15-21/hour.
Snow Maker
Responsibilities: Operate a snow making system consisting of fan-guns, high-pressure pump and distribution lines, and high-voltage electrical system, during the day and at night. Operate snowmobiles and ATVs responsibly.
Requirements: Experience in outdoor cold-weather environment and must have mechanical aptitude. Ability to follow written and verbal safety directions and protocols. Experience with high-pressure water systems and high-voltage electricity.
Must be able to walk, stand, use hands, reach with arms, climb/balance for 2-3 hours. Sit, kneel/crouch for under 1 hour, lift up to 50 lbs for up to 3 hours, lift over 100 lbs for up to 1 hour. Must have close, distance, color, peripheral, depth vision and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work near mechanical parts, in outdoor weather conditions, in extreme cold, exposed to vibrations, and in loud areas. Snow making experience a plus! Must be willing to work at night.
Seasonal position from early December through mid-February. Irregular hours. Could be a returning position year-after-year for the right person.
Starting Pay: $20 per hour, possibly more based on experience
